Mr. Frank Grantley Boyd is a proud Graduate of STATHS – Class 0f 1976. Mr. Boyd attended the College of Arts Science & Technology and graduated with a Technical Teachers Diploma specializing in Building Construction Technology. His first job in 1980 was at STATHS as a teacher of Technical Drawing. Mr. Boyd left the classroom in 1994 and worked as a Project officer at the Jamaica Mortgage Bank. However, he returned to the classroom and STATHS in 1999 as a senior teacher responsible for the Building and Drafting Department.
Mr. Boyd was actively involved in the physical transformation of the school’s built environment under the stewardship of Dr. Curline Christie. He obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree (BEd.) in Industrial Technology and a Master’s Degree (MEd) in Education Leadership at the University of Technology. He was appointed Vice-Principal of STATHS in 2008 with responsibility for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He retired as Vice-Principal in 2019. He is interested in Gardening, Guitar Playing, and General House Maintenance Works.
