Dr. Lorenzo Gordon MD. Ph.D. graduated from STATHS in 1977 and completed his sixth form at STATHS. He was the founder of the weekend class initiative under the late SW Isaac Henry in the 1990s and founded the STATHS Bakery Project and Training Programme in 1994. Lorenzo served as the President of the STATHS Alumni Jamaica Chapter for 19 years: 1985 to 2009.
He also served as a member of the school board and later as a founding member of the STATHS Trust. He has received many awards from his school to include the Good Samaritan award in 2005, and was inducted in the STATHS HALL OF FAME in 2011. He was honoured to have accompanied the late SW Isaac Henry, then as the President of the Jamaica Chapter to the first NE Chapter Award Dinner in New York in 1985. He was the guest speaker at the NE Chapter Dinner and Dance in November 2005 and the Guest speaker at the 2005 Graduation Ceremony.
Dr. Gordon is a medical doctor and scientist specializing in Internal Medicine, Diabetes, Gastroenterology, and Biochemistry. He is a clinical researcher and medical educator. He is the Vice-Dean of the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences.
